Privacy
This site collects almost nothing. Here is exactly what it does collect, and what happens to it afterwards.

What we do not do
We set no cookies. There are no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics, no advertising networks and no social embeds. There is nothing on this site to log in to, so there are no accounts and no passwords. Nothing you read here is recorded against you. Our host keeps the ordinary server logs any host keeps; we neither add to them nor use them to follow anyone around.
What we collect
Only what you choose to type into one of three forms, and only at the moment you send it.
An incubator application, on the founders page, records your name, your email address, your background, the name of your product, the builder track you picked, and your description of what you are building. If you fill them in, it also records your university or company, where you are in the journey, and a link to your site or portfolio.
An enquiry, on the companies page, records your name, your email address, your company, whether you want us to implement or to collaborate, and your message.
Subscribing, from the footer of any page, records your email address and nothing else.
All three also record the moment they were sent. While a form is being submitted we read the network address the request came from and hold it in memory for an hour, so that one machine cannot flood us. That address is never written to the database and it disappears when the server restarts.
Why we hold it
To read it and to reply. Applications and enquiries are working correspondence — they exist so that someone here can answer you. Subscriber addresses exist so we can send occasional notes about what we are building. We do not profile anyone, and we do not sell, rent or trade any of it.
Who else sees it
Three companies handle it on our behalf, and nobody else does. Vercel hosts the site. Neon hosts the Postgres database your submission is written to. Resend delivers the internal email that tells us an application or an enquiry has arrived, and that email carries what you wrote with it — everything, in the case of an enquiry; your name, your email address, your track and your description, in the case of an application. Subscribing sends no email at all; the address simply sits in the database until we write to the list.
How long we keep it
Applications and enquiries stay in the database while the conversation is live, and afterwards for as long as it is useful to remember it. There is no automatic deletion schedule, and we would rather say so than name a period we do not actually enforce. Subscriber addresses stay until you ask to come off the list.
Seeing it, or having it deleted
Write to hello@78eastlabs.com and we will send you a copy of everything we hold about you, or delete it. Incubator applications carry no email address, so if you are asking about one, tell us the name and the product name you used and we will find it.
Changes
If this site starts collecting something it does not collect today, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
